Enjoy Free Food, Bronco Spirit at Hot Dog Caper

Crowds of students line up for free hot dogs at the Hot Dog Caper on September 27, 2012.

More than 15,000 free hot dogs will be served on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the 29th annual Hot Dog Caper, the campus' beloved welcome-back tradition.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to University Park to enjoy a free lunch of hot dogs, chips, ice cream and Pepsi products. The event, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., will include music by 90 Proof, games, and fun activities promoting Bronco spirit.

This event is made possible through the partnership of Cal Poly Pomona Foundation, Pepsi Beverages Company, Associated Students Inc., Facilities Planning & Management, AT&T, Otterbox, Hoffy, First Class Vending and Intercollegiate Athletics. A team of nearly 500 volunteers, staff, administrators, and athletes help organize and run the event.
