Manson, professor of Computer Information Systems, contributed a chapter in “Computer Security, Privacy and Politics: Current Issues, Challenges and Solutions” published in April by IGI Global. The book, which includes contributions from academics in Norway, Canada and Hong Kong, discusses how computer security affects societal issues such as law and politics. Manson’s chapter “Security, Privacy and Politics in Higher Education” explores how multiple disciplines must learn to work together to teach in the constantly changing scientific, legal and privacy landscape.

Mosier, director of I&IT Support, has been elected chair of the city of Pomona Board of Parking Place Commissioners, also known as the Vehicle Parking District (VPD). Mosier was unanimously elected to lead the commission for the 2008-2009 term during a meeting on May 8. The chairship runs until July 2009. Mosier was previously VPD vice chair.
