Engineering Professor Participates in Utilities Scholar Program

Monica Palomo, assistant professor in civil engineering, worked as a visiting scholar for the Inland Empire Utilities Agency during the summer. Palomo, whose area of expertise is water and the proper handling of waste water, collaborated with other experts to create new practices for the replacement and monitoring of ground water. She received funding from a Career Development Award from the NSF ADVANCE grant at Cal Poly Pomona.
